Arrest orders, currently under house arrest, were carried out at first light today by the Carabinieri of the Caserta investigative unit also against «belonging to the public administration» of the Municipality of Caserta. Five measures notified by the military, one ad a member of the current municipal council. It’s just a brief preview of the outcome of one investigation by the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere which is shedding light on a series of assignments on the subject of public Works. The details of the implications of the investigation, as reported by investigative circles, will be illustrated during a press conference on prosecutor Pierpaolo Bruni and the provincial commander of the Carabinieri, Colonel Manuel Scarsowhich will take place in the Prosecutor’s Office mid-morning.
According to what has transpired, the orders carried out – all under house arrest – concern some managers and officials of the Municipality and in particular a current councilor. The disputed charges are fraud, forgery and corruption. According to the reconstruction of the investigators a series of assignments would have been “piloted” through the municipal offices following endorsements and indications from a member of the council. Following the implications of the last few hours, the Carabinieri, on behalf of the Prosecutor’s Office, carried out numerous telephone interceptions and examined documents and public documents. Numerous searches were also carried out.
