TREVISO – The Fiamme Gialle of the Provincial Command of Treviso identified three people who operated as real estate brokerage agents without having obtained the required qualifications.
The operation, conducted by the financiers of Conegliano Companymade it possible to ascertain that i alleged “professionals”who worked for the benefit of the same real estate agency, had concluded several real estate sales transactions.
At the end of the inspection activities, illegal real estate agents were investigated contest the expected administrative sanctions, for a maximum amount of 15 thousand euros. Furthermore, the same were reported to the Treviso-Belluno Chamber of Commerce also with regard to the activation of the procedures for returning to customers the sums unduly received, for approximately 25 thousand euros. In fact, only authorized and registered mediators can request the customer to pay a commission for the mediation activity carried out.
The administrative sanctions are aimed at counteracting the distorting effects produced by illegal activity in this sector which, in the event of recidivism, can constitute the crime of abusive exercise of a profession, crime which provides for imprisonment from six months to three years and a fine from 10 thousand to 50 thousand euros.
