OFFICIAL A2 – Carpegna Prosciutto Pesaro signs Quirino De Laurentiis

Carpegna Prosciutto Basket Pesaro announces that it has signed a two-year agreement with Quirino De Laurentiis, pivot of 207 centimeters and 106 kg. He will be part of the rotation of the big men who will face the 2024/2025 Serie A2 championship with the Pesaro shirt.

These are his first words as a new red and white player: “I am very happy with this experience that awaits me in Pesaro, one of the most prestigious clubs at a national level. I can guarantee that I will give my all, maximum commitment and maximum dedication during the season that is about to start. It will also be nice to find Coach Sacripanti who I had as coach in 2021/2022 and for part of 2022/2023 in Scafati.”

Born in Guardiagrele (Chieti) in 1992, De Laurentiis’ basketball career began with his city’s shirt before moving to Castelfiorentino and in 2012 in National Division A, in Agrigento. He remained with the Sicilians until 2017, also making his debut in Serie A2; then he moved to Forlì. After two years with the Romagna team he accepted the call from Tortona (winning the LNP Super Cup) and subsequently wore the Rieti vest. In the summer of 2021 he began his experience at Scafati, helping to bring Givova to the top league with an average of 19.4 minutes played, 7.41 points per match and 3.15 rebounds.

In 2022/2023, for the first time in his career he is on stage in Serie A1, again with the Campania shirt. In 2023/2024, during the current season, he was called up by Udine: with the Friulians he scored in 17 matches, with an average of 5.53 points and 4.3 rebounds in 14.2 minutes.

De Laurentiis has a good knowledge of the game and can cover the ‘5’ spot, also adaptable to the ‘4’ role. This is a player who has already won a championship and is good in various pick and roll situations. Furthermore, he has a good midrange shot and a good low post game. A solid defender and excellent knowledge of the game, his main quality is his high adaptability.
