Savona. Fourth appointment of the rich calendar of meetings organized by Ceas Riviera del Beigua in synergy with the artists who are part of the “Sustainable Artisans” network, as part of the activities financed by the Liguria Region for the promotion of the circular economy.
Friday 14 June in Savona, (meeting at 5.30 pm in Via Spinola, 10 r) is scheduled for a tour of the shops with harvests and demonstrations. We will meet three local artisans and discover how, through their artistic and creative work, they manage to give life back to poor, unusual and waste materials.
With Walter Boccia, at his workshop “The Phantom of the Opera”, we will observe his creations and hear from him how he has developed an eye towards creative recycling, using recycled materials to give a second life to things otherwise destined for dump.
With Ada Augeri, in her laboratory, we will listen to the stories of her artistic work under the banner of “Making and Unmaking” and we will observe her creations: “I believe that something unexpected and useful can arise from any object. The materials used are the most disparate and diverse.”
Also at Ada Augeri’s laboratory, we will also meet Roberto Scarpone who will hold the “Flying Spoon” demonstration: “by bending steel spoons and forks and fixing them with a single bolt I compose small bird-shaped creations to remind us that they could be the last ones remaining in the event of a man-made environmental disaster.”
