The Prefect of Salerno Francesco Esposito expressed words of appreciation for the brilliant operations carried out in these two days by the police forces with professionalism and high operational coordination capacity. Results that demonstrate the constant commitment to preventing and combating crime in the Province. The planning of coordinated control of the territory also moves in this direction according to the guidelines defined in the Prefecture within the Provincial Committee for Public Order and Security. In recent weeks, in fact, dedicated patrols have been intensified making use of the further support of the Crime and Prevention Department of the State Police in the capital and of the Operational Intervention Team of the Carabinieri in the Province. “They are important signals in the fight against crime which allow the presence of the State to be felt in the territory and contribute to improving the safety of citizens by confirming the constructive spirit of collaboration between the institutions and effective coordination. For this I thank the Judicial Authority and the Police Forces.” The commitment to increase security continues with the planning of strengthening the services of the Police Force in the summer period thanks to the contribution of reinforcement units assigned by the Ministry of the Interior and which will be operational starting from next July, especially in places most affected by the tourist presence.
