He beats a rider and steals his scooter, then tries to rob a pizzeria in Aprilia: the 33-year-old was questioned by the judge for preliminary investigations
The 33-year-old Antony Mohamed, arrested last June 9, in Aprilia, by the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Section, with the help of the Carabinieri of the Aprilia and Campoverde station, admitted to the charges. Questioned by the judge for preliminary investigations of the Court of Latina, Laura Morselli, the young man, defended by the lawyer D’Amico, must answer for the crimes of robbery and escape.
The thirty-year-old, in the late evening of last June 8, in Aprilia, was responsible for a robbery in collaboration with another still unknown person, first against a 40-year-old Indian citizen, a home delivery driver, who, while driving his scooter during a delivery, was approached and attacked with a stick. According to the reconstruction of the military personnel, Mohamed stole his cell phone and the scooter with which he escaped.
About an hour later, the same 2 subjects on board the stolen vehicle reached a pizzeria where, disguised with helmets, they threatened the cashier with an iron club, trying to remove the cash register from the place. However, the woman pushed them away with the help of some customers present in the restaurant who also managed to make the 33-year-old lose the helmet he was wearing before running away on foot and abandoning the scooter.
The images from the premises’ video surveillance system allowed the police to identify the person responsible who, during the night, was tracked down at his home.
33, who was already under house arrest, is no stranger to judicial news. Twelve years ago, he was arrested for having committed a series of robberies in Aprilia together with another accomplice. He was charged with nine robberies between 24 and 31 December 2012.
