TREVISO – In the early afternoon of Wednesday 12 June, around 1.30pm, the firefighters were called to intervene in via Castellana in Treviso due to an accident involving a food tanker truck. The medium is ended up in the courtyard of a house because of a sudden illness of the driver.
The truck was in a parking lot when it suddenly started moving, ending its run in the private courtyard and hitting a parked camper. The impact caused significant damage, including the rupture of a gas meter, which resulted in a dangerous methane leak.
Timely intervention by the firefighters
The firefighters, promptly rushed by the local command, immediately made the vehicle safe and managed the gas leak, plugging the leak until the arrival of specialized technicians from the gas network.

The driver of the truck was immediately helped by Suem healthcare personnel, who transported him to hospital for further checks and treatment. The driver’s condition is currently under observation to determine the causes of the illness that led to the accident.
