Textiles: Magnacca, Val Vibrata fashion district remains the region’s excellence

(REGFLASH) Pescara, 12 June. – “I had the opportunity to observe the quality of craftsmanship made in Abruzzo, through the companies that make up the Atea Artisan Excellence Consortium, appreciating their entrepreneurial ability and the contribution that these companies give to the regional GDP and exports”. This was said by the councilor for Productive Activities, Tiziana Magnacca, on the sidelines of the conference on artificial intelligence which was followed by the meeting with the companies of the Val Vibrata fashion district, a consortium chaired by Francesco Palandrani. “The sector of textile products and clothing, leather and accessories – added councilor Magnacca – caused Abruzzo’s exports to grow in the first quarter of 2024, recording an overall positive figure of 12.4 percent”.

“Despite various exogenous factors, the ongoing wars which have contributed with the increase in the costs of raw materials to a decline in consumption – underlined the councilor for Productive Activities – the over fifty companies that create fashion art in Val Vibrata demonstrate to maintain the market with the quality of their manufacturing. District of quality and excellence certified by its ability to attract new investments, especially foreign ones. I appreciated how in Abruzzo there are specialized figures in fashion and luxury, who establish themselves in Italy and Europe such as the designer Filippo Flocco. And we are proud of all this. Activities that we will support in their process of internalisation”. (REGFLASH) COM.ASS. 240612
