From the morning of Sunday 16 June, too Piazza Federico di Svevia and the surrounding areas Ursino Castlewill be pedestrianized.

The closure to vehicular traffic begins with the availability of approximately 400 parking spaces via Zurria, piazza Borsellino, via Plebiscito, piazza Vaccarini and the port area with 190 additional seats. Two zones have been determined: one with a 24-hour ban on cars and another with the closure to traffic in the evening and at night on weekdays, with no hourly limits on pedestrian traffic only on holidays.

Permanent pedestrianization will concern Piazza Federico di Svevia, north and west carriageway, from via Castello Ursino to via Sant’Angelo Custode and north and west lane, of the widening to the north; via Castello Ursino, from via Riccardo da Lentini to Piazza Federico di Svevia; Alaimo street; vin San Calogero, from Piazza Federico di Svevia to via Scuto it’s the same via Scuto.

The night-only pedestrian area, active from 7pm to 7am the following day on weekdays, permanent only on holidays, will be in Piazza Federico di Svevia, south and east carriageway and east lane, of the widening to the north; vto S. Guardian Angel, from Piazza Federico di Svevia to via Plebiscito; via Bufalo; via Grimaldi, from via Plebiscito to Piazza Federico di Svevia; via San Sebastiano; via De Grazia. The activation of access control with cameras will take place in 8 gates.
