The list of 143 applications that will receive a contribution as part of the “Every day in Lombardy 2024” call has been approved, for a total of approximately 1.4 million euros. In the province of Lecco there are 8 institutions that will benefit from this grant, for a total of 74,535 euros. The measure promotes the development of local attractiveness by supporting territorial tourism promotion initiatives that integrate and complete the regional strategy.
«The Lombardy Region continues to support the tourist-attractive activity of our territory. Above all, we want to promote presences in places less frequented by tourists, but equally rich in experiential offers and high-profile services. I am thinking of many mountain municipalities, starting from Premana and Esino Lario, or less frequented coastal municipalities such as Mandello del Lario, Dervio or Colico. We need to combat the phenomenon of overtourism, deseasonalizing and relocating presences in municipalities where you can still breathe an authentic climate made up of tradition, history and passion, without crowding and endless queues being able to spoil the tourist experience” commented the regional councilor Giacomo Zamperini from Lecco. «I thank the Councilor for Tourism of the Lombardy Region, Barbara Mazzali – he continued -, for this measure which will contribute to spreading the knowledge and use of the local tourist offer by encouraging the organization of events that can highlight the characteristic excellences of the our territory, enhancing an increasingly enjoyable and widespread experience over time and space. These resources are very important, especially for the valorization of mountain territories and the covering of our internal areas, which are also equally attractive”
