The Fiamme Gialle of the Provincial Command of Treviso, as part of the constant economic monitoring of the territory, identified three people who operated as real estate brokerage agents without having obtained the required qualifications.
The operation, conducted by the financiers of the Conegliano Company, made it possible to ascertain that the alleged “professionals”, who provided their work for the benefit of the same real estate agency, had concluded several real estate sales transactions.
At the end of the inspection activities, the envisaged administrative sanctions were contested against the illegal real estate agents, for a maximum amount of 15 thousand euros. Furthermore, the same were reported to the Treviso-Belluno Chamber of Commerce also with regard to the activation of the procedures for returning to customers the sums unduly received, for approximately 25 thousand euros. In fact, only authorized and registered mediators can request the customer to pay a commission for the mediation activity carried out.
The administrative sanctions are aimed at counteracting the distorting effects produced by illegal activity in this sector which, in the event of recidivism, can constitute the crime of illegal exercise of a profession, a crime which provides for imprisonment from six months to three years and a fine. from 10 thousand to 50 thousand euros.
