He was supposed to take care of an elderly man suffering from senile dementia and instead he repeatedly beat him with punches, slaps and scratches. The Agrigento flying squad, led by deputy commissioner Vincenzo Perta, arrested a caregiver from Agrigento for the crimes of aggravated mistreatment. The investigation began in recent days when the elderly man’s family, after seeing the obvious signs and bruises on the relative’s body, went to the police station.
