ROVIGO – There were 81 personal prevention measures issued by the Preccint Of Rovigofrom January to today, as part of the control activity carried out by the Anti-Crime Division and the Office Immigration on the territory of the province. Measures ranging, depending on the case, from oral warning to warnings from the Police Commissioner, to expulsion.
The measures
In particular, in the first five months of 2024, the Rovigo Police Commissioner, following the investigation carried out by the Anti-Crime Division, issued 81 measures. Specifically, 34 oral warnings and 15 mandatory warnings were issued to dangerous people present in the province without justified reason. Not only. Eight bans on access to urban areas (Dacur, also known as urban Daspo) have been issued and a proposal for special surveillance is currently being examined by the competent Judicial Authority. As part of personal prevention measures aimed at protecting victims of gender violence, 23 warnings were issued by the Police Commissioner, of which nine for persecutory acts and 14 for domestic violence.
Immigration office
As regards, however, the activity of the Immigration Office, from 1 January to 31 May, a total of 14 expulsions were carried out, of which 11 ordered by the Prefect of Rovigo and three by the competent Judicial Authority. In particular, as regards the prefectural expulsions, three were carried out with voluntary departure, two with detention at the detention centers for repatriations, five with removal orders from the Police Commissioner and one with immediate accompaniment to the border.
The expulsions ordered by the Judicial Authority were, however, all carried out with accompaniment to the border.
Finally, the Police Commissioner carried out three expulsions already ordered by the Police Commissioners of other provinces still to be complied with. Therefore, the importance of the monitoring activity of criminal cases carried out by the Anti-Crime Division and that carried out daily by the Immigration Office, aimed at combating illegal immigration on the territory of the Province, is confirmed.
In the twelve months
Results that update the data released on the occasion of the State Police Day, last quarter. In fact, from 15 March 2023 to 15 March 2024, 40 compulsory road documents were issued (there were 55 from March 2021 to March 2022); 81 oral warnings (49) and three special surveillances (5 between 2021 and 2022). Unfortunately, warnings for domestic violence and stalking are on the rise (41, almost doubled in the two-year period considered). To complete the picture: 4 Daspo and 4 Dacur.
