Restoration of road signs and pruning of vegetation in via Aspromonte in Palombaio. The request of councilor Arcangelo Putignano

“It is necessary to urgently intervene in via Aspromonte, in the hamlet of Palombaio, to improve the safety and functionality of the road, in particular with regard to the parking of school buses” declares Arcangelo Putignano, Councilor of the Municipality of Bitonto. “It is essential that the horizontal and vertical signs, which indicate the parking areas reserved for school buses, are clearly visible and well maintained. Currently, the existing signs are worn and difficult to recognise, causing difficulties for both school bus drivers and other road users” continues the councilor. “The presence of branches and excessive vegetation along Via Aspromonte also hinders the visibility of road signs, including those indicating parking spaces for municipal vehicles serving the pupils of Palombaio. I therefore ask for the restoration of the state of the places with a pruning of the vegetation, to ensure that all signs are perfectly visible, guaranteeing the safety of children who use school buses and to improve traffic management in this area” his request. “It would also be appropriate to install three new benches, removed a few years ago and never replaced, and, in order to guarantee surveillance activities to safeguard the safety of children, provide for the constant presence of an operator, absent for about a year, during the opening hours entrance and exit at the “Sen. Sylos for activities” concludes Putignano.
