After an intense youth competitive season of ASC footballincluding i A/11-A/8-A/5 championshipstook place last Sunday in Corigliano Rossano (CS) the ASC Regional Football Finals. Twelve participating teams, distributed across the different championships, competed in two different locations: the “Stefano Rizzo” stadium in Rossano Scalo for A/11 football and the Giannone Sports Complex, managed by Carmine Servidio, in Schiavonea for football A/8 and football A/5.
The scorching temperatures did not limit the competitive spirit on the field, despite the young age of the participants, thus allowing fans and families to witness high-level competitions, decreeing the best teams of the A/11-A/8-A/ Championships 5 year 2023/2024, who will represent Calabria at the National Phases in Misano from 13 to 15 September next
11-a-side football
In A/11 football, the best teams participating in group A and group B of the last championship faced each other, the Hammers of Catanzaro, the Vigor Old Boys of Sant’Onofrio, the Real Philadelphia, the Nuova Soverato amateurs with the two new teams from Corigliano, United Over 40 Brogneri and Fisioterapia Fabbricato, who made the regional finals more interesting by having superior category players.
5-a-side football
In A/5 football Bel Ben Estetica and Olimpia 2000 of Reggio Calabria and Corigliano amateur five-a-side football competed, while in A/8 football AU Corigliano, Morolia United of Schiavonea and FC competed against each other. Service of Reggio Calabria.
As a result, Bel Ben Estetica from Reggio Calabria qualified for the A/5 football championship, AU Corigliano for the A/8 football championship and Hammers from Catanzaro for the A/11 football championship.
Three days of sport and fun moments shared by the participating teams, families, managers, referees and the organizational staff directed to perfection by Dr. Riccardo Fico, who stayed at the Apulia Resort in Schiavonea.

Many awards were given to the best athletes on the pitch, both as goalkeepers of the event (BRUNO RAIMONDI of Real Philadelphia for A/11 football, REDOINE BOUCHAMA of AU Corigliano for A/8 football and FRANCESCO CERVASIO of Olimpia 2000 of Reggio Calabria for A/5 football), both as scorers (DENIS PRIONACI of the Hammers of Catanzaro in A/11 football with 6 goals, VALENTINO CALARCO of FG Service of Reggio Calabria in A/8 football with 3 goals and NICOLA CRUCITTI of Bel Ben Aesthetics of Reggio Calabria in A/5 football with 8 goals).

Widely satisfied President of ASC Calabria, Antonio Eracliniwhich sees growth from year to year in terms of the technical level of the competitions but even more so in the organization of the football championships. “After the 2023 ASC National Football Finals, organized thanks to the esteem of ASC Nazionale, this year too Rossano hosted some high-level competitions. This is dictated by the organization and ability of the managers and technicians of the ASC football sector who dedicate themselves with passion and professionalism to the organization and management of the competitions. From a technical point of view, the matches played have demonstrated once again that the championships organized by the ASC demonstrate a first-level organisation, supported by well-structured teams on the field and capable of offering a highly respectable sporting spectacle, despite the young age. I am sure that the teams that qualified for the next National Phases in Misano will best represent Calabria and will be able to interpret the prestige and sporting honor of our land, from a technical, athletic, competitive and behavioral point of view”.
