Antonio takes office today at the Palermo Prosecutor’s Office Carchietti, who leaves the Messina Prosecutor’s Office after 13 years. Born in Udine but transplanted and in love with Sicily, where he raised a family, Carchietti was first deputy prosecutor at the ordinary prosecutor’s office and, since 2020, member of the district anti-mafia directorate.
Holder of important trials on companies, public administration and then on the mafia, to name just a few, the investigation into municipal budgets of Messina, on Genoves caseee the Nebrodi trial on the pasture mafia, Carchietti stood out for his tireless work. He works on many delicate investigations, which he has tackled without fear, and has stood out for his contribution to teamwork, together with his colleagues.
With the press he has always maintained an attitude of respect towards professionalism and correctness, in full compliance with regulations, accompanied by a polite humanity, which cannot be taken for granted.
