“A delegation for the fractions”

Matteo Nasciuti was confirmed as mayor of Scandiano with almost 70% of the votes: this is an unexpected result even for the mayor himself. Nasciuti, are you satisfied with the clear success in the elections?

“I didn’t imagine this outcome. Obtaining 70% of the votes in Scandiano is difficult. The credit goes to our overall project, made up of ideas and the five lists that demonstrated closeness to the people of Scandiano who understood our intentions. We achieved an extraordinary result , the result of teamwork, carried out by men and women who have put all their effort into building a concrete proposal for the future of Scandiano for months. I will still be the mayor of all of Scandiano: we will continue to be open to listening, always ready to work for the good of our community and our territory”.

What are your upcoming goals-commitments for the next few days?

“Now it is necessary to focus on the practices to be implemented after the elections. Today I will sign the nominations of the elected councilors and I will then convene the council by the end of June and the first days of July. I will also begin meetings with allies and the lists for the appointment of the council. I can anticipate that a delegation is planned for the fractions and another also for peace, issues that we face every day. Tomorrow the victory celebration will be held.”

Are there any imminent issues to address?

“There are no emergency situations. We will be busy with some important construction sites such as the Rocca and the ‘Giro dei colli’, but we will also start to deal with other projects”.

Born, the work of his collaborators was certainly invaluable…

“I express gratitude to the electoral committee which has worked with so much energy since September. Thanks also to all the candidates for their enormous service and to the non-elected people involved in this wonderful journey. They are people with many talents. The intention is to keep the ‘cord’ that has linked us in recent months. Lastly, thanks to Scandiano: finding myself still at the service of my splendid city is an honor, made up of many meetings, projects and many kilometres”.
