For a 50 million escape of euros, the financiers of the provincial command of Varese have arrested the administrator of one of the paper companies used for one huge transnational fraud. The arrest after a precautionary custody order issued by the investigating judge of Busto Arsizio at the request of the European Prosecutor’s Office.
Last November the first part of the operation led to thearrest of two spouses from Gallarateconsidered by the investigators to be the top of the fraud system a carousel which had in fact brought in 50 million in evaded VAT. The investigation by the Gallarate Financial Police led to the discovery of a fraud in the gas sector trade of air pods, hard disks and hardware, implemented with the issuing and use of invoices for non-existent operations, by paper and buffer companies and aimed at evade VAT, thus subtracting the taxes due from the treasury.
The mechanism of fraud involved the issuance of invoices for non-existent operations by paper mill companies (and buffers, which are the higher level in the mechanism compared to paper mills) with the aim of evading VAT. During the searches of the arrested person, the financiers carried out sseized two Rolex watches and three rifles regularly detained.
