Donatella Listorti – May 25th was an eventful Saturday in the Adventist church of Padua. in the morning, in the morning. Alan Codovilli gave the family-focused sermon. Towards the end of the sermon, he said that May is a blessed month for our community and he explained why: six couples were celebrating their wedding anniversary! The Family Department of our church organized the celebrations and so each couple was able to see each other again on their wedding day, they also received a floral gift delivered by the children of the community and a card. The years of union obviously varied: there were those who had been married for two years, the youngest; some for a dozen or so; some give about twenty; some beyond that, to reach almost sixty years of marriage for the older ones! The party was a surprise for them and for the whole church!
“A three-stranded cord is not easily broken” (Ecclesiastes 4:13). With Jesus, the couple becomes stronger.
Testimonial event
On the afternoon of May 25th, after several months of preparation, a testimony event dedicated to those who are not part of our community took place, on the theme “There’s mail from heaven for you”. It was a great joy to see around forty people cross the threshold of the church and follow with great attention the unfolding of the program which included special letters marked by history, reflections, songs and two mimes. Various departments of the Paduan church worked together and with commitment in preparing this initiative, precisely to give their best in serving the Lord and others. Everyone present greatly appreciated what was proposed. Furthermore, both those who worked in front of the public and those who worked behind the scenes felt gratified by the message given.
