TO Turin come back Metronimiethe widespread Festival of Performative Poetry which, with the edition 2024expands to new locations in the city, with a rich and varied program of shows, concerts, spoken word, readings, poetry slams, workshops, talks, exhibitions and editorial projectswhich explores the potential of poetry and the “word in action”.
This year’s theme, bodiesacts as a common thread throughout all the festival’s activities through different artistic forms, intertwining with poetry to create a dynamic and profound dialogue.
The festival program renews some of the most anticipated events such as Call to the artsthe space dedicated to poetry slam, e Poietic Residencean event dedicated to the artists who experimented with their practice in the latest edition of the residency at the Merz Foundation.
Between novelty of this year:
- Metrografìe, book and printing fair in all its formsa two-day event dedicated to poetry and art books, with reading aloud initiatives;
- Metroniminya space dedicated to the word in action for families and children, with Susi Danesin, an exceptional author and reader, who will transform reading into an interactive and engaging experience.
The inauguration of the festival is scheduled on June 8th9pm, al Warehouse on the Po with a dark and cinematic electronic performance of the project Kyoto (aka Roberta Russo), which combines modern electronics with traditional elements, such as those of the Apulian tradition.
