Yesterday, the “Aspromonte Cultural Mycological Group of Reggio Calabria“, led by the mycologist Sebastiano Cutrupicarried out a significant environmental cleanup operation in Privitera districtin the municipality of Reggio Calabria. This initiative, aimed at restoring and enhancing one of the most evocative picnic areas in the area, saw the active participation of numerous volunteers and received the patronage of the Municipality of Reggio Calabria.
The cleanup action focused on the collection, differentiation and disposal of waste present in the picnic area, which is equipped with a fence, tables, stations for cooking food and a fountain. Thanks to the collaboration of Ecologia Oggi SPA and the association Discovery Adventuresthe waste was managed efficiently, ensuring an intervention that respected the environment and current regulations.
The authorization for the reclamation operation, issued on 29 May 2024 with protocol number 1281723, allowed the group of volunteers to operate fully regularly, significantly contributing to improving the quality of the local environment. This initiative not only made the picnic area more usable and welcoming for citizens and tourists, but also underlined the importance of protecting and caring for the territory.
