Let the most awaited day begin. The vote that will give Sanremo a new mayor after 10 years of Biancheri administration began at 2pm.
Great anticipation in the City of Flowers for an electoral contest which sees an unprecedented three-way race (Mager-Rolando-Fellegara) which suggests a run-off as the most accredited hypothesis for the nomination of the mayor. In fact, it is difficult to predict a victory in the first round like in 2019, when Alberto Biancheri got the better of Sergio Tommasini.
We will follow the count live from the points of the mayoral candidates and publish the first data.
According to the first rumours, it seems that the head-to-head between Gianni Rolando and Alessandro Mager is confirmed in the first sections.

The first data from the electoral count are arriving at the points of the mayoral candidates.

The ballots scrutinized are around eight hundred; at the moment Rolando has 40% of the preferences, while Mager follows him with around 37%. In third place Fellegara just under 20%.

During the long electoral afternoon, Alessandro Mager appeared just before 3pm at his point in Via Roma, but preferred not to make any statements while waiting for the first official data.

The candidate for mayor also arrived at the Fellegara point, set up in the spaces of the Sanremo Workers’ Federation but, at the moment, he has not commented on the first partial data.

Gianni Rolando also reached his point in Via XX Settembre to follow the counting, but preferred not to make any comments, choosing a secluded place where he could follow the results without having other people in the immediate vicinity.
