Daspo urban with a ban on access to the places of the nightlife to Poggiardo for two young Salento. The measures were taken last weekend, with the notification of the Dacur issued by the Police Commissioner of the province of Lecce against two young people following a serious episode which occurred in Poggiardo, on 30 December 2023, near the local “Caffè borghese”, a meeting place for local youth.
According to what was reconstructed by the police, the incident saw a 28-year-old from Poggiardo and a 20-year-old native of Tricase attack a young man for trivial reasons, hitting him repeatedly and causing trauma to his face.
The intervention of the police
The police intervened on this occasion and reported the two men for aggravated assault and battery. Hence Dacur’s requests, issued by Police Commissioner Modeo, based on the behavior of the two subjects deemed “actually” and “potentially” dangerous for urban safety.
The prevention measure of the Urban Access Ban (Dacur), necessary to prevent crime and illegality phenomena that affect the safety of citizens, was notified in recent days to those responsible for the attack and prohibits them from accessing and staying in the nightlife areas of the urban center of Poggiardo for two years.
