The polls closed at 11pm on Sunday 9 June, and the counting operations for the European elections began immediately. In 10 out of 19 municipalities the Brothers of Italy prevailed over the Democratic Party. In fact, these are the two parties that were in first or second place in all the Municipalities. Overall, the Democratic Party obtained 51,108 votes (33.08%), while FdI obtained 38,966 votes (25.22%).

If a Livorno the Democratic Party obtained 36.32% of the votes and was the first party, whereas in the rest of the province this was not the case everywhere. In the city, 26,043 voters chose the Democratic Party, while the second force was the Brothers of Italy with 20.87% (14,965 votes). Followed by the 5 Star Movement (12.33%) and the Green Left Alliance (8.74%). Collesalvetti And Rosignano saw the Democratic Party collect more votes than the Brothers of Italy, with 32.92% and 33.34% respectively against 24.71% and 25.85%. As well as Bibbona, where 25.31% of Fratelli d’Italia did not make a dent in the Democratic Party, preferred by 32.06% of those entitled to vote. Also to San Vincent Democratic Party ahead of FdI, with 32.95% against 28.84%, as well as Suvereto, where the Dems got the better of the prime minister’s side by 34.57% to 25.81%. In Val di Cornia the Democratic Party reached 33.64%. Campiglia Maritime, while Fratelli d’Italia stopped at 30.81%. The data is surprising Piombino, with the Democratic Party reaching 33.65% while the Brothers of Italy – the party to which the outgoing mayor belongs – stops at 25.24%. TO Sassetta Pd domain, 34.59% to 20.75%.
The situation is different regarding the island of Elba, where everywhere the Brothers of Italy got the better of the Democratic Party. TO Portoferraio net affirmation of FdI for 36.58% against 20.56% of the Pd, as well as Field in Elba (40.19% versus 17.22%), Capoliveri (39.40% versus 16.55%), Marciana (18.67% versus 18.30%), Marciana Marina (34.02% versus 22.53%), Port Sky blue (37.46% vs. 19.23%) e Rio (30.92% versus 26.81%). As regards turnouts, Bibbona and Suvereto are the municipalities where the highest turnouts were recorded, with 73.64% and 72.49%. In Campo nell’Elba and Marciana Marina the lowest ones, 36.20% and 23.04%.
