“Vivaci Experiences” is the summer proposal of Family Centera series of initiatives, totally freewhich will take place in the months of June and July to share family moments for adults and children.

Opening the series of events will be “Hunting for bear and other animals“, a treasure hunt in the city for families with children aged 2 to 6 years old scheduled for Wednesday 12 June from 5.30pm to 7pm in the historic city centre.

«Summer holidays for boys and girls are a time of joy, play and freedom after a school year – recalls the deputy mayor and councilor for social inclusion policies Anna Maria Celesti –. Precisely for this reason we created a calendar with many proposals aimed at families and grandparents who, together with their children, will be able to take advantage of the summer to be together sharing moments of leisure and entertainment, rediscovering the importance of being together also through the games of the past”.

Following Thursday 13 June the first date of “Thursday in Play“, an initiative aimed at families with children or grandparents with grandchildren aged 4 to 10, created in collaboration with “Socially” the socialization project for the elderly of the Municipality of Pistoia, the Parents’ Committee of the Leonardo da Vinci primary school and friendly organizations of the Center for Families including 4Passi, Wolf Basket Junior and Cardpaperart.

The meetings will take place at Villone Puccini on Thursday 13, 20 and 27 June, and then continue on Thursdays in July (4, 11 and 18) from 5.30pm to 7pm.

On the occasion of the meeting on Thursday 27 June, citizens over 60 who attend the meeting spaces of the “Sociamente” project will propose to the participating families the games of yesteryear, to underline the importance of recovering traditional games and rediscovering history, origins and one’s sign of belonging. The game stimulates inventiveness, curiosity, manual skills, ingenuity and with the game the child adapts and gets closer to the traditions and entertainment of the past.
On that date, interactive games of the past such as the game of the goose, hopscotch, the classic onion chopper, the 5 cantons and many other games to play with grandparents, grandchildren and families.

Added to the calendar of summer initiatives organized by the Center for Families are also the “Familyoga” in collaboration with the Aiko Center, scheduled every Tuesday starting from 18 June and until 30 July from 5.30pm to 7pm at the Villone Puccini and “Families in the Field” scheduled for Friday 21 June from 6.30pm at the Long Beach in Pistoia, an activity aimed at children aged 11 to 18 who will challenge their parents in a sand tournament.

Furthermore, as part of “Magical Nights, 5th edition” at Monteoliveto Park, Wednesdays in July (3, 10, 17 and 24) will be dedicated to outdoor cinema for families with the screening of films selected to stimulate reflection on the conflict between parents and pre-adolescent children who are preparing to build your own identity. The initiative, carried out in collaboration with the Amici di Montuliveto association, is free and open to all.

“Vivaci Experiences” is the program of events organized by the Center for Families of the Municipality of Pistoia, the Department of Social Inclusion Policies and the Intrecci Cooperative.
