Carrarese celebrates, Ancona trembles: today Covisoc expresses its opinion on the registrations

With the conclusion of the 2023-24 Serie C season, which yesterday saw Carrarese triumph in the playoffs and achieve promotion to Serie B, the current Italian second and third series tournaments have been outlined, which however could undergo variations compared to what currently are the two categories: Covisoc and the Infrastructure Criteria Commission, in fact, will decide today on the registration applications to the next championships presented by the teams.

As is known, critical issues have already emerged in Serie C, with Ancona risking exclusion from professional tournaments, but other surprises cannot be ruled out. Clearly there will then be time to present any appeal against the rejection of the registration application, with the deadline set at 7.00 pm on Wednesday 12 June; two days later, then, the meeting of the Federal Council, and, in the event of further rejections, the possibility for the clubs to appeal to the Coni Guarantee Board.

If everything is confirmed, we will proceed with repechages and readmissions. If there are clubs that have not submitted any type of documentation for registration, the best of the relegated teams will be readmitted, while clubs that have submitted an incorrect registration application or some documents are missing will proceed with repechages. And it is in that case that Milan Under 23 will come onto the scene. All that remains is to wait.
