“With exit polls “caution is needed,” he said Funaro -, let’s wait for the results that will come out of the polls tomorrow. Compared to the polls that have been circulating in recent weeks, the exit poll data are better, they are very positive and there is satisfaction. Having said that, from tomorrow, when the results are in, we must commit ourselves day by day and collect vote by vote from our citizens.”

For Funaro, “the fact is that, as we have always maintained, the challenge was between us and the candidate of the right. We did an election campaign telling what our vision of the city was, telling our program and showing very clearly what our values and our identities were. From the data, given that they are always exit polls, it seems to me that this has been recognized, and above all that there are much more positive data than we expected. But we are waiting for the final results.”
To those who asked about the conversation with other political forces and candidates in view of the run-off, Funaro replied: “In the meantime let’s look at tomorrow’s results, when we have the results we will then look.”
