European elections: definitive results in Molise: Fratelli d’Italia first party at 27 percent

Brothers of Italy first party, then the Democratic Party and the League, dragged at a local level by the candidacy of the outgoing MEP Aldo Patriciello. This is the outcome of the vote for the European elections in Molise. In detail, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni’s party comes close to 27 percent, more than quadrupling the consensus received at the 2019 European elections (6 percent). The Democratic Party is close to 18 percent (up from 14.6 percent five years ago). The League goes beyond 17 percent with a figure therefore much higher than the national one of the party, but a clear decrease compared to the 24 percent it reached in 2019. The 5 Star Movement which 5 years ago in the region was the first party with almost 29 percent of the vote and now stops at 14.7. Finally Forza Italia is at 8.38, Alleanza Verdi Sinistra 5.13. Below 3 percent Peace, Earth Dignity, United States of Europe and Action. On the preferences front, the outgoing MEP Aldo Patriciello, who ran with Forza Italia at the last European elections, this time with the League received over 13 thousand votes at a local level while General Vannacci stopped at just over two thousand. Among the other local candidates it should be noted that in the Verdi Sinistra list the most voted in the region with a thousand preferences was Giovanni Germano, father of the actor Elio. Finally, slightly different data in the capitals. In Campobasso Fratelli d’Italia is the first party with almost 26 percent, then the Democratic Party at 20.7 and the 5 Stars at 15.7. The League stops at 11.9. In Isernia, however, Salvini’s party is second with over 20 percent, beaten by Fratelli d’Italia with 24. The Democratic Party is third with 19.
