Forza Italia is the most voted party in Sicily, for them European elections which took place in Italy on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June. The movement that was Silvio Berlusconi, according to the data from the Ministry of the Interior (5,283 sections scrutinized out of 5,304), obtained over 353 thousand votes, equal to 23.6% of the votes on the island. They follow Brothers of Italy (301 thousand votes, equal to 20.2%), Five Stars movement (240 thousand, 16%) e Democratic party (214 thousand 14.4%). The lists are well under double figures Freedom (114 thousand, 7.7%), League (111 thousand, 7.5%), Greens and Left Alliance (72 thousand, 4.8%), United States of Europe (30 thousand, 2%), Peace Earth Dignity (25,790, 1.7%), Action (21 thousand, 1.4%). Last the list Popular Alternative, which collects eight thousand votes, 0.5% of the total. Also note the modest turnout figure. In Sicily it stopped at 38% of those entitled to it, which were over four million and 200 thousand, distributed across the nine provinces of the island. In the previous electoral round the data it had been even lower, reaching 37.5%.

European elections, national results

At the national level it is Brothers of Italy the party with the most votes in the elections. The movement headed by the Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, with 60,296 sections scrutinized out of 61,650, it obtained over 6.5 million votes, equal to 28.8% of the votes. They follow Democratic party (5.4 million votes, 24%), Five Stars movement (two million and 268 thousand, 9.9%), Forza Italia (two million and 205 thousand, 9.7%), League (two million and 70 thousand votes, 9.1%) e Green Left Alliance (1.5 million votes, 6.6%). The lists remain outside the European Parliament due to the threshold set at 4%. United States of Europe (853 thousand votes, 3.7%), Action (755 thousand, 3.3%), Peace Earth Dignity (499 thousand, 2.2%), Freedom (281 thousand, 1.2%), Südtiroler Volkspartei (Svp) (120 thousand, 0.53%), Popular alternative (89 thousand, 0.39%), Sovereign People’s Democracy (33 thousand, 0.14%), Animalist Party – Italexit For Italy (29 thousand, 0.13%) And Rassemblement Valdôtain (14 thousand, 0.06%).

The results of the European Championships in the Islands

For what concern college of the Islands, that brings together Sicily and Sardinia, the party with the most votes is always Brothers of Italy, which collects 422 thousand votes, equal to 21.3%. They follow Forza Italia (401 thousand votes, 20.2%), Democratic party (333 thousand, 16.8%), 5 Star Movement (322 thousand, 16.8%), League (138 thousand 7%), Greens and Left Alliance (123 thousand, 6.2%), Freedom (117 thousand, 5.9%), Peace Earth Dignity (44 thousand, 2.2%), United States of Europe (42 thousand, 2.1%), Action (29 thousand, 1.5%) e Popular alternative (ten thousand votes, 0.5%). To know the names of the elected to the Brussels Parliament it will take more time. The data from the ballots, as specified by the offices of the Ministry of the Interior, “do not have an official character”. The official announcement of the results “is the prerogative of the territorial electoral offices competent”. Likewise, the distribution of seats and the identification of those elected “must be considered provisional. Abstention at 50 percent
