The Montessori-Repetti Institute is included in the Network of Schools that Promote Health of the Tuscany Region, for the sharing of good educational practices on the subject of prevention, health and well-being, together with the various units of the ASL North-East Tuscany and thanks to the precious support of local associations who have made their skills available free of charge. During the 2023/2024 school year it carried out ad hoc interventions divided by year of study in all three school locations. Professor Lorenzo Dell’Amico, instrumental function of Health Education and Professor Anna Maria Aleardi, teacher of natural sciences, underline how Health Education is an essential training moment in school life and in the process of development, education and of training of the individual, since its objective is not only that of simple information on issues related to psychophysical well-being, but also and above all that of providing the school with tools and professionalism that support teachers in their daily pedagogical action with children aimed at development of life skills, that range of basic cognitive, emotional and relational skills, which allow people to operate competently and effectively on both an individual and social level. The interventions carried out, all in person, involved all the students of the three locations, and Health Education activities were guaranteed in all classes, thus giving homogeneity of paths to the different branches of our Institute.
