PESARO Despite the weekend, work continued at Vuelle and coach Stefano Sacripanti, after the presentation to the press and fans, stopped for a few days in the city to take stock of the situation with his staff, regarding the players who will go to wear the red and white shirt in the 2024-2025 season. In this regard, what opens today could be an important week as regards the first player announcements. At the moment the only player under contract is Octavio Maretto, while for Umberto Stazzonelli the chances of wearing the red and white shirt seem to be decreasing. At the end of the week we should also know with certainty whether Andrea Cinciarini will have decided to continue his adventure with the red and white club or not, while Valerio Mazzola, barring sensational last minute twists, will continue his adventure with Vuelle.

The market

Meanwhile, Sebastiani Rieti, after having formalized the arrival of the former Vuelle play-guard Diego Monaldi this season in Udine, announced the termination of the contract with the athlete Vittorio Nobile, while Orzinuovi was the first team in A2 to announce a American player, as announced by guard Gabe DeVoe, who played in A2 last season with the Tezenis Verona shirt. Brindisi, however, as far as players are concerned, will still be able to count on Tommaso Laquintana who has decided to stay, and has announced Davide Bocci as athletic trainer, and Marco Cardillo as assistant coach, who was also captain of the Apulian team with which he made a total of eighty appearances in the top flight. Jordan Bayehe instead decided to exercise the exit clause from the contract that tied him to Happy Casa. Verona has made Salvatore Trainotti official as General Manager. Gesteco Cividale instead extended the contract until 2026 with strong forward Gabriele Miani. Turin has reached an agreement with center forward Aristide Landi, who had already played in the Piedmontese city in the 2021-2022 season.

Cento and Nardò

In the meantime, yesterday the last day of the survival group was played, which was irrelevant, given that Cento and Nardò had both already secured their place in A2, while Nazionale Chiusi, Agrigento, Luiss Roma and Latina dropped to B. At this point only four teams are missing to complete the batch of teams that will participate in the next A2 series, namely the two teams defeated in the promotion finals for A and the two that will move up from the National B series.

The finals

Meanwhile, this evening in Trieste at 9pm, game three of the final for promotion to Serie A will be staged and the hosts have two chances to close the series, given that they currently lead 2-0 over Cantù. In Serie A, however, Bologna and Milan are currently in perfect parity, after the Italian champions won game one and Virtus Bologna made up for it in the second game. Tomorrow evening at 8.30pm it will be the turn of the third challenge and this time it will be played in Milan. The match will be broadcast on Dmax, Nove, Dazn, Eurosport 2 and Radio Rai1.
