A new disturbed impulse of Atlantic origin is rapidly approaching northern regions of our Villagecausing conditions of instability between the evening of Sunday 9 June and the day of Monday 10. They are expected rainfall mainly thunderstorms, which could be of strong intensity, especially up Lombardy And Triveneto.
Of note are the first powerful downpours with even hailas well as an electric storm, in the Veneto hinterland, with damage and flooding.
According to available forecasts, the Department of Civil Protectionin collaboration with the regions involved – responsible for the activation of civil protection systems in the affected territories – has issued a new warning adverse weather conditions, which extends the one issued on Saturday. The weather phenomena, affecting various areas of the country, could cause hydrogeological and hydraulic criticalities, as reported in the national criticality and alert bulletin available on the department’s website (www.protezionecivile.gov.it).
The notice provides, from the afternoon of Sunday 9 June, rainfall scattered to widespread, mainly in the form of showers or thunderstorms, on Veneto and on Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzanoin addition to the persistence of such phenomena on Lombardy. The events will be accompanied by showers of strong intensity, frequent lightning strikeslocals hailstorms and strong gusts of wind.
Based on the expected and ongoing phenomena, for the day of Monday 10 June an alert was assessed orange due to storm risk on part of the Lombardyand an alert yellow on Trentino Alto Adige And Venetoon part of Lombardy And Tuscany.
