On Saturday 15 June the events continue at the River Park, at the “Ca da’banda” organic gardens, with free activities for all ages and a shared lunch.
Appointment at 11.30 with “An extraordinary garden” – a workshop of seed bombs and eco-readings for children over 3 years old, organized by ITUR sc, Ideas for tourism and culture.
At the same time, again at 11.30am, a bread-making workshop “Let’s make bread”! By the owner of the house Sergio Parola.
Followed by a shared lunch: everyone is invited to bring something to eat to try!
Finally, at 2.30 pm, the intercultural pharmacist Noemi Bottasso from the AD HOC Salute Integrata Arte Natura center in Mondovì proposes to discover the medicinal herbs of the Fluviale park.

The proposals are part of the “SOLIDARITY INNESTI” project, coordinated by the Arci Piemonte and Cuneo Asti Committee together with the Ca da Banda Gardens, Nova Coop, the social welfare consortium of the Cuneo area. Financed by the Piedmont Region and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies.
The third and final appointment will be on September 14th, with a sinoira snack offered by NovaCoop and a folk music concert, again at the Ca di Banda gardens.
The aim of the project is to raise awareness of the area and the possibility of managing a vegetable garden even for those who live in the city, perhaps sharing the responsibility with other people at the Ca da banda association, which has a total of 49 organic gardens of 50 meters squares each. The richness of the space managed by Sergio Parola within the River Park also lies in the opportunity to meet and get to know better people of different social backgrounds and with life paths that are very distant from each other. United by a passion for growing fresh, organic and local food. In 2021, Ca’da banda entered into an agreement with Novacopp Piemonte and the Cuneese Social Welfare Consortium (CSAC), giving life to the “vegetable gardens together” project which aims to promote sustainable agriculture through the accompaniment of disadvantaged people placed in rehabilitation and social support projects. Actions that allow people to develop their skills and abilities and to promote their social and work inclusion, recreation and useful services for daily life.
The actions envisaged in “SOLIDARITY INNESTI” aim to invest in the strengthening of realities that are experimenting with forms of community horticulture with a recreational and socializing perspective, to recreate a sense of belonging to a community capable of acting in an inclusive and supportive way.
