The bakery robbery fails. But then he allegedly fled with the stolen cash to another laboratory. Always in the Vomero district. With this reconstruction the police stopped Ciro Cosentino. The Carabinieri investigators explain that it was a quick investigation: the 36-year-old apparently failed his first shot in a pastry shop. Then he would focus on another place. He runs away with the cash, but the military starts investigating immediately. Ciro Cosentino was arrested by investigators from the Vomero company for attempted robbery and aggravated theft.
The details: already under special surveillance, the 36-year-old would have tried to rob the pastry shop in via Scarlatti. But he had to run away empty-handed because the threatened employee was unable to access the contents of the till. If he had scored, he would have gone to Via Bernini. Taking advantage of the distraction of the staff of another pastry shop, he grabbed the cash register and disappeared. The total loot is approximately 260 euros.
Then the investigations. The police intervened immediately and, after viewing the images from the cameras, managed to identify the alleged perpetrator. In his house they found burglary tools and shortly afterwards they found the chest still intact but without money, near a church. He ended up in prison and will also have to answer for violating the special surveillance measure. Not only this during the military’s night checks in the Vomero district.
The Carabinieri investigators also let it be known that during other checks – these are different interventions – 4 very young people were sanctioned and reported to the prefecture for drug use. There are numerous violations of the highway code, almost all for driving without a helmet or without insurance. The checks will continue in the next few days.
