For the Japanese the contract was extended only for one year, given that from 2026 Honda, its main sponsor, will supply the engines to Aston Martin. The collaboration between the Faenza company and the young man has had its ups and downs, but in 2024 the driver is carrying the team on his shoulders, winning the majority of the points.
“I am happy to remain in VCARB and that my future is already established. For this I want to thank everyone at Red Bull and Honda for their role in my career. The team has a big development project ahead of them and I want to be part of it. I’m happy to know that my hard work is appreciated and that the team believes that I can take them even higher. We have already made great progress this year, and that motivates me to do my best. At the moment I will only focus on the rest of the season, with the aim of bringing home as many points as possible.” Tsunoda said in a statement.
