The members of the opposition in the City Council believe that there are potentially illicit aspects regarding the appointment of Daniela Perissutti as Arriva Udine and the councilorship granted to Ivano Marchiol. For this reason, as they announced in a joint press release, they filed a complaint with the city’s public prosecutor’s office.
Today – we read in the note – the minority councilors of the Municipality of Udine, Michele Zanolla, Francesca Laudicina, Giovanni Barillari, Luca Onorio Vidoni, Gianni Croatto, Andrea Cunta, Loris Michelini, Antonio Pittioni, Pietro Fontanini, Giovanni Govetto, Giulia Manzan and Maurizio Franz presented, through the lawyer Maurizio Miculan, a detailed complaint with which some episodes capable of integrating criminally relevant cases were brought to the attention of the Public Prosecutor’s Office. The investigative insights requested concern, in particular, the electoral agreement signed at the time between Alberto Felice De Toni and Ivano Marchiol, which then led to the appointment of the latter as Councilor for Public Works of the Municipality of Udine, as well as the recent appointment , again by the current mayor, of Daniela Perissutti as vice president of the Board of Directors of the municipally owned Arriva Udine SpA, on the recommendation of the councilor (and husband) Stefano Salmè.
Further information – also in relation to a possible connection between the two events – considered absolutely necessary, given, among other things, the peculiar position taken by councilor Salmè on the occasion of the run-off round of 16-17 April 2023, which, as will be remembered , had publicly invited his supporters to abstain from voting, harshly criticizing some members of his list for their decision to support the opponent of the current mayor of Udine.
The Prosecutor’s Office will evaluate the existence of any electoral crimes and/or against the public administration, given the qualification of public officials held by the subjects involved, as well as the collective interest inherent in the public transport activity carried out by Arriva Udine SpA
