Velletri celebrated the Sports Festival in Piazza Caduti sul Lavoro (VIDEO)

Under a scorching sun, on the hottest day of this spring that is coming to an end, Square of those killed at work hosted the long-awaited Sports Festivalan event organized by Municipality of Velletri via theSports Departmentin collaboration with Sports Council (Free Committee of Sports Associations of Velletri) and the Lions Club Velletri Host Colli Albani.

From 10 in the morning, numerous sports associations gathered in the square located near San Clemente, each with its own stand, to promote their disciplines to the citizens who had gathered. Children and young people had the opportunity to engage in a cognitive, spatial-temporal motor path, full of basic activities, and to try various sports disciplines. L’Sports Councilor, Paolo Felciduring the Castelli Notizie Facebook Livehighlighted the importance of the event and congratulated the citizens for their participation and the sports clubs for their commitment to promoting sport and health: “It is a day dedicated to the promotion of sports clubs, in collaboration with the Sports Council. A variety of disciplines were represented, with clubs providing facilities and instructors. Many children participated, despite the scorching sun and for this reason seeI would like to congratulate all the citizens who actively participated and all the sports clubs that made this day possible. Their enthusiasm and commitment demonstrates the value of sport in our community.”

The Sports Festival represented not only a moment of fun and physical activity, but also an opportunity to strengthen community ties, promote a healthy lifestyle and discover new sporting passions, to highlight the importance of sport as vehicle of health, sociality and personal growth.

The Sports Festival had a prologue on Thursday 6 June with the event “The Golden Slipper”held in the Sala Terpsicore of the Municipality of Velletri, during which the clubs and athletes who stood out most in the competitive season that just ended were rewarded.

During the day, in Piazza Caduti sul Lavoro, the Mayor Ascanio Cascella, in addition to the city councilor Martina Petrellathe Vice President of the Sports Council Carolina Miconi, together with the advisor Daniele Ciarla. Alessandro Ercoli represented the Lions Club, while Gianni Bianco and other representatives of local sports clubs intervened to promote the disciplines represented.
