Young doctors from ASL AT specializing in intensive care and vascular surgery awarded by the Rotary Club of Asti

They received a scholarship as a result of a bequest

Asti. Federico Ghignone and Vittorio Pasta, doctors specializing in intensive care and vascular surgery respectively, serving at the Cardinal Massaia Hospital, were awarded by the Asti Rotary Club with two scholarships worth ten thousand euros each.

The delivery took place on Tuesday in the presence of the general director of the ASL AT, Francesco Arena, the director of the complex Vascular Surgery structure, Alberto Pecchio, and the director of the complex Anesthesia and Resuscitation structure, Alessandro Bianchi.

«The initiative is the result of the legacy that Luigina Robiolo has given to the Club with the specific intention of supporting young doctors in training – explain the president Maurizio Mela and the past president Luigi Florio – we managed to identify two professionals who have expressed their desire to continue their career at Cardinal Massaia».

Federico Ghignone, 30 years old, originally from Rivalta (To), graduated in 2020 from the University of Turin, where he is continuing his specialization in Anesthesia and Resuscitation; before arriving at the Asti hospital he worked at the ASL TO3 and at the White Cross of Rivalta also as an instructor of the 118 volunteers.

Vittorio Pasta, 33 years old, from Turin, graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Turin where he is continuing his specialization in vascular surgery. As part of Cardinal Massaia’s team since January, he previously worked at the Citta della Salute e della Scienza – Molinette hospital in Turin.

The General Director of the ASL AT, Francesco Arena, in thanking the Rotary Club Asti for the constant attention to the health needs of the area, underlined how much it is .
