He steals from a boy with a disability. The Bolzano Carabinieri intervene promptly and recover the stolen goods. It happened yesterday afternoon near Piazza Stazione. The Carabinieri of the Operational Section, employed by the Bolzano Company, engaged in that area in a specific service of repression of predatory crimes and attributable to the dealing of narcotic substances in the South Tyrolean capital, witnessed an unpleasant scene: sitting on a bench, the soldiers spotted a disabled boy from South Tyrol who was crying and complaining about the loss of his mobile phone. After a brief dialogue with the victim, the Carabinieri, having learned of the author’s summary description of the crime, searched the vicinity of the place where the theft occurred to track down the thief. Shortly afterwards, the military managed to track down the woman, found with the boy’s mobile phone, who, at the end of the ritual procedure, was handed over to the Judicial Authority in a state of freedom.
The investigations carried out on the street made it possible to reconstruct the dynamics of the facts: the woman, already known to the police, was sitting on the same bench as the boy. Taking advantage of her brief inattention, she stole his phone, earning herself, in vain, an escape through the streets of the historic centre. She would never have expected that, in a short time, she would be tracked down by the Carabinieri and criminally prosecuted. At the end of this brief misadventure, the soldiers gave the boy his phone, which is essential for calling his family. He showed deep gratitude towards the military
The Commander of the Carabinieri Company of Bolzano, satisfied with the work of the dependent soldiers, reports: “The Carabinieri of Bolzano is always present and particularly attentive to the protection of the weakest groups. We are close to the entire population, not only through the countless preventative initiatives, but also through plainclothes services to intervene and promptly repress any crime, especially the most insidious ones perpetrated against the weakest groups.”
