Today and tomorrow Circularity Market in the spaces of via Palermo. The Chiesi Group, with the collaboration of CSV Emilia (Volunteering Service Centre), launches the Circularity project: offering a new life to the objects currently located on the Chiesi site in via Palermo. A space which, starting from the end of summer, will be affected by a profound urban regeneration intervention, with a construction site active until 2027. The historic industrial site of Chiesi in via Palermo, inaugurated on 8 October 1955, today hosts over 2,300 items , mostly furnishings (such as, for example, wardrobes, desks, chairs, chests of drawers). Although in excellent condition, these objects would be destined for waste: due to space limitations, in fact, only 5% can be reused in other company offices. To overcome this problem and avoid waste, the Chiesi Group thus had the idea of launching the Circularity project which will allow 75% of furnishings to be brought back to life. The sale, in the percentage of 20% of the furnishings, is reserved for collaborators of Chiesi Farmaceutici and the Chiesi Italia commercial branch. The area is accessible to citizens of Parma (entry permitted from via Chiesi, 1), from 9.30am to 12.30pm and from 2.30pm to 5.30pm. Over 300 pieces of furniture will be on display, including chairs, desks, wardrobes, chests of drawers and other objects (for example, lamps, coat hangers, umbrella stands), a number greater than 10% of the total furniture currently present in via Palermo. Each person will be able to choose up to a maximum of two objects, which they will receive, completely free of charge, from CSV Emilia. Since some furnishings are large in size, access to private cars and vans will be allowed during the time slots 12.30-14.30 and 17.30-18.30 for the collection of previously assigned furnishings. For the little ones, entertainment activities are planned, organized by the “Scambiamente” and “Per restart” associations. Furthermore, for those who wish, there will be the opportunity to visit the “Past, Present, Future” exhibition.

DONATION TO THIRD SECTOR ORGANIZATIONS AND SCHOOL WORLD

The majority (around 1,200 objects) of office furniture and movable objects stored in the Chiesi spaces in via Palermo are made available free of charge to associations and third sector bodies, identified thanks to the fundamental contribution of CSV Emilia, and to the world of schools. To date, more than half of the furnishings intended for donation have already been booked by third sector organizations or educational institutions.

DIRECT SALES TO COLLABORATORS

To respond to a need expressed by the collaborators of Chiesi Italia and Chiesi Farmaceutici, who in the past have worked in the spaces in via Palermo, the Group has decided to reserve approximately 450 pieces of furniture for sale (approximately 20% of those present on the site) . The activity, which will start at the beginning of the summer and will continue for six months, will be managed through a marketplace app created specifically for the exclusive use of the corporate population based in Italy. The sale will be at favorable prices.

ANDREA CHIESI: “WE ARE VERY HAPPY”

There were those who were queuing for an hour and a half before the gates opened. At 11am the queue was made up of 500 people and reached halfway down Via Palermo. A success announced but not expected so quickly for the Circularity market in Chiesi, which made the furnishings of the site in via Palermo available to citizens free of charge, which will soon be involved in a regeneration project.
