The second edition of Olympic Cup it turned out to be a huge success. Compared to last year, thanks to the team of collaborators, staff, videomakers, photographers, guests and cheerleaders, the organizers (primarily Riccardo Dotti and Luca Violi official delegates of the University Sports Center) have managed to raise the level of the most popular student sporting event at provincial level, both from a qualitative and quantitative point of view. A unique emotion for all participants, that of seeing hundreds of fans singing, rejoicing and having fun every evening, in the name of common objectives to be achieved. During this sporting event, which took place at Guidi field from the Gino Nasi sports club of Modena, commentators from Modena were present Dazn of the caliber of Tommaso Turci and Alessandro Iori, the reporter of the gianlucadimarzio.com team Luca Bendoni, the president of Cus Diego Caravaglios and the councilor for Sport and Equal Opportunities Grazia Baracchi.
Last Wednesday, during the final, every record was broken, reaching more than 1200 people in the stands, including fans, enthusiasts and spectators, who supported their team with great enthusiasm and participation from the beginning to the end of the match. There were many beautiful moments and satisfactions, however the organizers could not avoid dedicating a minute of silence to the tragic and sudden death of Adele Baldasarrea student of the Sigonio institute, towards whom the Olympius Cup tribute was expressed and the message sent by the institute representatives to their students read that same morning, to make the entire fans aware of what had happened.
The Corni then took home the cup with a great performance, beating The Tassoni by 6 to 4 after extra time in a setting of celebration, music and food stands, but the organizers are keen “to congratulate all the twelve teams of the institutes involved (StopHorns, Sigonio, Spallanzani, Bricklayers–San Carlo, VenturiTassoni, Wiligelmo, Barozzi, Cheesecakes, Alighieri And Sacred Heart) for their level of competitiveness and desire to win.”
Finally, on Thursday evening, the official tournament awards were held at GreenCodeLandthe new sustainable green oasis, set up in the outdoor spaces of Modena Fairswhere the winners of the Corni were able to lift the coveted trophy to the sky.
