20 thousand euros in scholarships

Just over a year after the disastrous flood that hit Forlì, the ceremony took place for the delivery of the amount for the scholarships that the Forlì Committee of the BCC of Ravenna, Forlì and Imola wanted to provide for students residing in Forlì, enrolled and attending high schools (specifically the Baracca aeronautical institute, the Vassallo institute, the Ruffilli professional institute, the Matteucci commercial institute, the Saffi Alberti technical institute, the Marconi technological institute, the Canova Artistic and Musical High School, the Fulcieri Scientific High School and the Liceo Classico Morgagni) whose homes and personal effects suffered significant damage.

The schools, in agreement with the BCC, have published a specific notice, containing specific entry requirements; thus, out of 96 students registered in the ranking, 80 students were able to benefit from the scholarship, each worth 250 euros, of which 11 from the “Morgagni” Classical High School, 16 from the “Fulcieri” Scientific High School, 1 from the “Morgagni” High School. Canova”, 15 of the Technical Saffi–Alberti, 6 of the Professional “Ruffilli”, 14 of the Technical “Marconi”, 1 of the Technical “Baracca” and 16 of the Technical “Matteucci”

The “ceremony” for the delivery of the total contribution, equal to 20 thousand euros, took place at the Scientific High School in the presence of Gianni Lombardi, vice-president of Bcc, Gianguglielmo Ragni, head of the Bcc Forlì territorial area, and the school directors Maura Bernabei, Susi Olivetti, Giuseppina Tinti and Lorella Zauli. “This is a contribution that obviously does not aim to resolve the enormous problems that in many cases the flood has created, but which nevertheless offers a small relief and, at the same time, has an important symbolic meaning, confirming and strengthening that network of solidarity and support that the event, despite its drama, positively aroused”, is underlined.

Giulia and Asia, two of the students awarded the contribution, confirm this: “I am very grateful to be among the recipients of the scholarship – says Giulia – It is a positive sign that encourages my constant commitment to achieving my scholastic goals, and demonstrates the support of the school, which supported me even in a moment of difficulty such as the flood”. And also Asia, with gratitude, reiterates the attention and solidarity received: “From the first moment they were always ready to help to the difficulties caused by the flood and this economic aid is a further demonstration of the constant commitment of the school community and our territory”. It’s true, it seems to be a drop in the sea, but, ultimately, the sea is also made up of many drops.
