Montessori students in an environmental lesson

A virtuous path, between Marche Multiservizi Falconara, schools and the Municipality, as part of the World Environment Day and which resulted, in recent weeks, with some awareness initiatives against the uncontrolled abandonment of waste, while Thursday was the turn of the planting of some downy oaks: two in the garden of the Montessori school, the others in the green spaces of Marche Multiservizi Falconara, in the headquarters in via Marconi, where the environmental hygiene company has also planted four holm oaks on the initiative of the sole administrator Giovanna Fraternale. The Marche Multiservizi Falconara staff helped the children with the planting. The school councilor Ilenia Orologio was present. Plants and in particular trees, as also highlighted by the neurobiologist Stefano Mancuso in a recent interview, are an excellent tool for combating the effects of global warming.

“It is clear – he stated – that plants are the concrete solution to the problem of global warming due to their ability to absorb carbon dioxide. It means that we have an extraordinary solution in our hands, we just need to make it clear how extraordinary it is. We are obsessed with technology and instead the future will be made of technologies based on life, because today a euro invested in trees is a thousand times more profitable than any other expense. Sometimes I think that if we called trees ‘high efficiency columns for carbon dioxide absorption’ we would have suffered much more money to be used for reforestation.” Marche Multiservizi Falconara, together with the Municipality, is carrying out a series of initiatives aimed at protecting the environment with schools, some of which involve correct waste disposal.

Containers for the collection of waste from electrical and electronic equipment had recently been delivered to schools.
