The Central Committee of FNOPI in AnconaConti, President of Opi Ancona in the meeting with the OPI of Marche, Umbria and Abruzzo: «Greater consideration from the political decision maker»

Ancona8 June 2024 – «Demand greater discussion and sharing with institutional leaders in the name of its role as Subsidiary Body of the State”. This is the hope that the Central Committee of FNOPI – National Federation of Orders of Nursing Professions addressed to the fellow presidents of the provincial Opi of Marche, Abruzzo and Umbria gathered in Ancona.
The president Barbara Mangiacavalli present with the other colleagues of the Central Committee, he promoted interregional meetings which represent an opportunity to discuss the problems encountered in the territories and to stimulate the Federation’s action towards the Government and Parliament.
The president of Opi Ancona addressed the national representatives who came to Ancona from all parts of Italy Giuseppino Conti did the honors as the host Order of the meeting in its own headquarters, introducing some topics that were then explored in depth and also by fellow presidents and delegates of Opi Macerata, Pesaro, Fermo, Ascoli, Teramo, Chieti and Perugia.
«A very constructive and useful meeting – said Conti – in which we represented all the difficulties of a continuous dialogue with the regional decision-maker”.
On the table are the issues of the reorganization of the regional healthcare system, the shortages of nursing staff, their demotion, both academic and professional training for younger people, attacks, recognition of the role.
«Nothing new, then – adds Conti – and nothing that, we have verified, is not common, albeit with some distinctions, to the national framework”.
«We accept the invitation of the President of Fnopi who will be back in Ancona on October 19th for a great event that we are organizing – assures Conti – to demand to be consulted and listened to and we will ask the regional institutions not only to be received to explain the needs of over 4 thousand nurses from Opi Ancona and the over 11,500 from the Marche but to fully carry out the functions that the institutional role assigns to us by representing an interlocutor with which to deal with continuously as happens in other regions».
