Dr. Giulia Pellizzari is the new president of the Casa del Volontariato Foundation, the operational tool of the Cassa di Risparmio di Carpi Foundation, to carry out social, civil, cultural purposes, promoting volunteering and the values of social solidarity. In recent days, the Board of Directors of the Cr Carpi Foundation proceeded to designate the new Board of Directors of the Casa del Volontariato Foundation, for the expiry of the mandate of the members appointed in May 2020, and decided, for the first time, to have a female president at the helm of his own social organization. Roman by birth, Dr. Giulia Pellizzari was the head doctor of the Obstetrics and Gynecology department of the Ramazzini hospital in Carpi until November 30th. A commitment, that in the world of volunteering, which the doctor had already announced when she retired: “Carpi remains my city: my commitment continues in the Cassa di Risparmio Foundation, within the Steering Committee, but above all I want to dedicate myself to volunteering in the medical field”. And so this desire of hers came true: “In my life I have always spent myself for people – comments the new president (who takes over from Nicola Marino) – and now I will continue to do so, in a different way and with new energy. I am very happy to take on this role, when they asked me I willingly gave my availability.” New female leaders: the vice president of the Casa del Volontariato Foundation is also new, in fact, she is a woman, professor Cristiana Casarini, in addition to the councilors Erio (known as Marco) Bulgarelli, Roberta Della Sala and Giannina Panini. All the members of the new decision-making and executive body are active in the world of volunteering, the third sector or healthcare. The Casa del Volontariato Foundation was, in fact, established to encourage the active participation of third sector organizations by promoting their networking while respecting their singularities, with the task of giving impetus to the definition of transversal projects of social utility towards the community local. With the resolution of the administrative body of the CR Carpi Foundation, the newly elected members also take on the task of continuing the correct management of the Casa del Volontariato, a building that houses 53 voluntary associations.
