Como, 8 June 20234 – I am eighty-nine municipalities in the province of Como who go to vote on June 8th and 9th (from 3pm to 11pm and from 7am to 11pm respectively), for the elections administrative, which are held in conjunction with the European elections.

In 24 Municipalities there is only one candidate and one list: here the obstacle to overcome is that of the “quorum” of 40% of residents: without their vote – even if with only one list – the election will not be valid.

In Cantù they will challenge the outgoing mayor Alice Galbiati, supported by Lega, Forza Italia, Fratelli d’Italia and Cantù Sicura; Antonio Pagani, with Pd and the civic Noi, and Cecilia Volontè with Cantù Civica. If none of the three manage to exceed 50% of the preferences in the first round, there will be a run-off on 23 and 24 June.

TO Mariano Comense, however, there are only two candidates, for what essentially became an “early” ballot.
