A new model of ongoing home care to have 10% of the regional population over 65 in charge by 2027. And for this reason the Regional Council has adopted a resolution which provides for the commitment of 41 million euros from the PNRR: a involvement, from a multilevel and network perspective, of the protagonists of local services, with the aim of making the homes of sick people the first place of care.
The project is placed in the broader context of strengthening local socio-health care, in order to reduce access to the emergency room, hospitalization and exposure to the risks associated with it, as well as the use of institutionalisation, guaranteeing non-self-sufficient people or those in frail conditions, care programs at home, to stabilize the clinical picture, limit functional decline and improve the quality of life, also with a view to continuity between hospital, territory and home.
The intervention was proposed by a network of organizations representing the managing bodies of health and socio-health facilities at a regional level and, following the signing of an agreement pursuant to Legislative Decree 502/1992, it will be co-designed between the public entities involved and the third sector bodies that will be selected by public notice, applying the new regional law on shared administration (lr 2/2023). An extremely advanced method of participation and co-decision, completely new in the healthcare sector, which could also become a best practice from the point of view of administrative innovation, allowing us to overcome competitive schemes to favor more collaborative, transparent and inclusive modules
