Modena Cambia: closing of the campaign in Piazza Roma – Politics

For years Lapressa.it has offered free and independent information to its readers without any type of public contribution. Private advertising covers part of the costs, but it is not sufficient. For this reason we ask those who read us and follow us every day to give us, if they wish, a contribution based on their possibilities. Even a small support, multiplied by the tens of thousands of people from Modena and Emilia-Romagna who read us every day, is fundamental.

The mayor must take responsibility for the establishment of a sort of ‘crisis unit’ that deals with the health emergency, starting from the interminable and unacceptable waiting lists that citizens find themselves facing when they request outpatient services, putting a stop to the development politics that suffocates non-aligned voices that often have the sole fault of unmasking the logic of a management that has no longer had the patient at the center of its functioning for some time.

For public doctors, the private profession under agreement must be abolished, the doctor who intends to work in the private sector must do so outside working hours, paying the required taxes. The tragic experience of the Covid-19 emergency must not be forgotten, both by guaranteeing the strength and autonomy of basic and local medicine, and by ascertaining all the responsibilities that have led to a serious lack of healthcare, replaced by mandatory diffusion of vaccination campaigns.

The municipality of Modena, possibly in agreement with the parliamentary commission of inquiry into Covid-19 (if it is actually established), will work to make the truth known about that period and to destroy all the interest systems that have speculated, as well as to monitor and report the adverse effects that will manifest themselves over time in our territory’.

The theme of healthcare is one of the main program themes of the Modena Cambia list relaunched in the last electoral appointment of the list in Piazza Roma in Modena. Mayoral candidate Daniele Giovanardi did so together with the candidates on the list and the leader Beatrice De Maio. His task is to illustrate for the last time before the electoral silence one of the new features of the program, relating to municipal vouchers.

‘The municipal vouchers – states De Maio – are issued by the Municipal Treasury and by any affiliated local banking institutions, which uses them to pay an additional bonus part compared to the normal salaries of municipal employees, to immediately pay off debts with local suppliers ( who will be able to choose whether to wait for the usual deadlines in euros or have their services paid immediately), to provide subsidies to the less well-off, as well as to tender and contract additional municipal services. This non-traditional payment method serves to directly inject a new form of currency into the local community, with the aim of promoting the internal economy, increasing services and entrepreneurial activity promoted by the municipality, encouraging the work of municipal employees, to guarantee immediate payment for all supplies.
