The right to study in Trentino: all the news for requesting scholarships, accommodation and tax exemption

Approved by the Board of Directors of Opera Universitaria the competition notice to be able to request the benefits of the right to study for the academic year 2024-2025. An important intervention involving over 2000 students from all over Italy.

“This year too we expect significant numbers, thanks to the attractiveness of our University and the numerous proposals of the Trentino right to education” – says President Frigotto. “Concrete support, made up of measures that change and adapt to the needs and challenges of our time, but also of courageous and far-sighted choices, such as the decision to increase the thresholds for assessing the economic condition, which go from 25,000 euros to 26,000 euros for the ISEE and from 50,000 euros to 52,000 euros for the ISPE, thus expanding the pool of potential beneficiaries. But not only.

The scholarship amounts also increase, with values ​​ranging from a minimum of 1,414 euros for “on-site” students to a maximum of 8,068.40 euros for “off-site” students. The support for STEM students is also significant, with scholarships reaching up to a maximum of 8,419.20 euros.

However, the merit requirements remain unchanged, reduced by 40% for female students and students with disabilities. And again, simplification tools that allow students and their families to make important decisions with a clear understanding of all the factors at play, therefore a stock market simulator to find out the amount of the grant to which they may be entitled, and the announcement in brief with the main contents and the deadlines to be respected”.

On the accommodation front, there are approximately 1200 accommodation places available on campus, of which approximately 950 in Opera residences, the remainder in apartments located in strategic points of the city. A varied accommodation offer, suited to different needs, which Opera aims to increase, through the PNRR opportunities for the development of university housing.

For those, however, who are looking for different housing solutions or do not meet the requirements set out in the competition notice, it is possible to explore the offer on the private market through TRent, the portal created by Opera which presents the availability of off-campus accommodation in Trento and Rovereto.

“But Opera’s attention is not limited to supporting the moment of entry into the university world – declares President Frigotto. It is important, in fact, to be able to guarantee support until the end, intercepting all the fragilities that can cause fractures in this journey. For this reason we have created a dashboard of indicators, which allows us to have updated information on the effectiveness of the services provided and thus better orient our policies”.
