“Icônes” exhibition – Piacenzasera.it

“Icônes” is the title of the multimedia exhibition that will take place at the PalabancaEventi (Palazzo Galli) in via Mazzini 14 in Piacenza from 15 June to 7 July, on the occasion of the start in Piacenza – on 1 July – of the stage of the Tour de France arriving in Turin. It is an immersive experience to virtually gather in one place three masterpieces kept in the museums of Piacenza: “Il Tondo” by Sandro Botticelli (Madonna adoring the Child with Saint John) from the Civic Museums of Palazzo Farnese, the “Ecce Homo ” by Antonello da Messina from the Alberoni College and the “Portrait of a Lady” by Gustav Klimt from the Ricci Oddi Modern Art Gallery. The three original works will instead be visible at the respective museum locations, while the virtual experience will reveal details and offer a new and original vision of the paintings.

For the occasion, free shuttle bus services will be organized on weekends to encourage visitors along a route that is not only immersive but also real. Furthermore, once they have obtained the ticket at PalabancaEventi, visitors to the exhibition will be able to show up at the locations where the three masterpieces are exhibited and obtain a discount for access. Without the ticket, the ticket will be full price. The initiative is promoted by the Piacenza Culture Network, which sees the Municipality of Piacenza, the Province of Piacenza, the Emilia Chamber of Commerce, the Diocese of Piacenza-Bobbio, the Emilia-Romagna Region and the Piacenza Foundation involved together in the cultural promotion of the territory. and Vigevano, with the precious collaboration of the Bank of Piacenza. The museum institutions that hold the three masterpieces actively collaborated in the creation of the exhibition: Civic Museums of Palazzo Farnese, Ricci Oddi Modern Art Gallery and Opera Pia Alberoni.
